Welcome to Create with JoNeita and to the 4th of July (Red, White, & Blue) Fantabulous Cricut Crawl Fantabulous Cricut's version of a Blog Hop! In honor of the 4th of July holiday, we're having a Red, White and Blue Crawl. Each Design Team member has created a fabulous project using Red, White and Blue as the main colors, and of course at least one Cricut cut! If you've come from Jilliene's blog at Jilliene Designing, then you're in the right place! If you've just happened across my blog and would like to see all the fabulous Design Team creations head on over to Fantabulous Cricut HERE to start at the beginning. Make sure to check out each DT member's blog! There will be Blog Candy along the way at some of our DT members' blogs, and there will be a Grand Prize up for grabs at FCCB for one participant who submits a "Red White and Blue" project at FCCB! For my project I made a baseball card using the colors Red, White, and Blue. Independence Day is about freedom, family, friends, and celebrating with those you love, so I thought that this card would be fun to use as a party invitation. I used my Sports Mania cartridge, but the cuts can also be found on the Best of 2008 cartridge. I cut our the baseball and the ball player. The card is a square card, just to be different. I stamped the word "awesome" on the front using a Recollections stamp set, then I just put it all together. I used foam tape to life the ball player up a bit to add some dimension and movement. I really like how it turned out. Materials Used: Cricut: Sport's Mania (cuts also found on Best of 2008) Stamp: Recollections Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black Paper: Recollections Blog Candy Alert!!! I am giving away some blog candy to celebrate my first project as a part of the Fantabulous Cricut Design Team. I am giving away an extra stamp set that I somehow ended up with two of. It is called "Thank You" and it is from Words to the Rescue by Steve Fadie. Last year, my wonderful boss, invited us all to go to a Texas Rangers game. I think my son, Dallas and my husband, Vertis had more fun in the play center than we did watching the game. I was sure that these pictures would made for a great layout. I started by cutting out all the peices, using the Cricut and the Sports Mania Cartridge. Next I typed my journaling and printed it out. Then it was a simple as matting the pictures and putting it all together. Notice that I used one of the pictures as a pocket to tuck our ticket stubs into for safe keeping.
